Nate Update
It really bothers me that Nate is the victim of the “not the first child” epidemic that parents fall prey to. It’s just different when there is more than one. All of your attention can’t be focused on one child. There just isn’t time or energy. Well, maybe there is and we are just a part of the lazy group. We do try though. Really we do. This Saturday the boys and I were playing out in the leaves that I have been putting off raking. I thought to myself that it would be a Great time to take some pictures of Nate. We are really in need of some and I’ve been trying to make an effort to get some of him. We had thousands of Josh when he was the same age.
You might be wondering why I chose the picture of him screaming to go along with this entry… well, in short… That’s Nate. I love him to death, but he is our screaming, crying, into everything little monkey. I know that kids his age get into things they are not suppose to, but Nate takes it to another level. If you were to take him to a room which he had never visited and it had been kid proofed except for one hidden area that contained scissors, electrical outlets, and other dangerous items he would find it faster than NC State can lose to UNC (we lost to them on Saturday and I’m still bitter).
His eating habits keep us on our toes as well. We have to keep an eye on him. After a few times of pulling a whole peanut butter sandwich out of his throat, we started feeding the sandwich to him in bits. He would just shovel the whole sandwich into this throat!
Discipline really doesn’t have much affect with him. A smack on the hand use to deter Josh from no-no’s. When we head to grab Nate from a no-no, he just holds out his hand as if to say, “I’m doing bad, here’s my hand. Spank it old man and let’s be done with it.”
Did I mention that I love him dearly? Well, I do. He’s great. He makes things interesting and I think he’s only a loud crazy monkey because he doesn’t get enough attention sometimes. Well, keep screaming Nate.
Check out all the pictures from this past Saturday.

I know what you mean about “not the first child” syndrome! By the time we got to poor Alex, we hardly do anything anymore! BTW, thanks for linking to my blog
I finally realized that I could add yours to my sidebar - I’m kinda slow sometimes! I come here often looking for updates. I know you are all busy.
